Welcome to the official website of Austin Royals Christian Athletics - commonly known as simply the Austin Royals. We are an organization of homeschool families in the greater area of Austin, Texas, that offers competitive sports to our elementary through high school students. Our primary purpose, however, is to help them become obedient followers of Jesus Christ who love God above all and will likewise encourage others to follow Christ.

Cross Country News
For Cross Country (incoming 7th-12th graders)- Our new head coach is Matt Manly, who ran cross country for TCU. He is very excited for the opportunity to coach our athletes. They are having summer workouts each Friday morning from 7:30-9:00 am at the Williamson County Regional Park (1431 and Sam Bass Rd). Official fall practice begins August 23rd, at which time the team will practice twice a week and compete on Saturdays. There is no cost to practice with the team this summer, so come on out and give it a try!

Basketball News
High School Boys - Open Gym
For Boys Basketball- High school open gyms begin July 16th and will continue each Friday night through September 24th. (note: gym is not available on July 23rd or August 20th). Open gyms are at Bethany United Methodist Church, 10010 Anderson Mill Road, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Cost is $2 per session per athlete. This is the perfect opportunity to invite anyone you think may be interested in playing for our Royals teams in the fall.

Elementary and Middle School Summer Practice
During the months of June and July, optional practices will be held on Tuesdays at the Austin Sports Center. Practice times are listed below. Cost is $15 a month or $5 per practice.
June 1, 8-10am
June 8, 8-10 am
June 15, 12-2pm
June 22, (middle school and elementary camp 1-3:30 that week)
June 29th, 8-10am
July 6, 8-10am
July 13, 11am-1pm
July 20, 1-3pm
Last week of July no practice
High School Summer Practice
During the months of May, June, and July practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Austin Sports Center. In May, they will be from 3-5pm. June and July practices are listed below. Cost is $15 a month for one day, $30 a month for two days. Or $5 per practice.

Our varsity teams are now listed on Maxpreps, a national ranking/statistics site. The site will allow us to post our team schedule, our games results, our roster, team stats, individual stats, photos, videos, etc. Many of the teams we have played so far this season use Maxpreps. The site is easy to use and should allow the Royals and its players a chance to get the recognition they deserve.
